About this live ISS data

These values come from NASA’s public ISS Live telemetry stream. The page keeps one lightweight streaming connection open and updates individual values when new data is published, with display updates limited to once per second.

Cabin pressure and oxygen are readings from the Destiny laboratory. Oxygen is shown as partial pressure, not a percentage. Pitch, roll and yaw describe the station’s orientation. Combined gyroscope torque is calculated from the live roll, pitch and yaw torque commands and will usually change more frequently than the environmental readings.

How to read the attitude display: each axis has its own viewpoint. Yaw is the ISS turning in the top view, roll is the station leaning in the front view, and pitch is the nose moving up or down in the side view. The numbers remain the precise reference, especially when an angle is close to zero and the movement is naturally very small.

Telemetry may pause or be temporarily unavailable during communications handovers, maintenance or upstream feed interruptions. The ISS position and altitude shown on the map are calculated separately from the latest stored TLE.
